T-1000 container desiccant stick (also known as container drying stick)
Product Overview
T-1000 Container Desiccant Rod is a highly efficient moisture absorption and moisture-proof product specifically designed by iHeir for sea freight containers and warehousing environments. This product uses a super absorbent polymer (cross-linked sodium polyacrylate) imported from the USA, processed through a special technology, offering outstanding advantages such as fast moisture absorption rate, high moisture absorption capacity, and strong water retention. It does not easily release absorbed moisture (no “spit-back”) even under pressure, effectively inhibiting the “container rain” phenomenon, protecting cargo from moisture, mold, and rust. The product also contains unique antibacterial factors, which not only prevent bacterial growth on the desiccant itself but also inhibit bacterial growth in the surrounding environment, organically combining moisture prevention, mold prevention, and antibacterial functions.
Product Principle
During ocean transportation, the temperature inside the container rises during the day and humidity decreases; at night, the temperature drops, and water vapor in the air reaches saturation, condensing into small water droplets, forming “container rain,” which causes cargo to become damp, moldy, and rusted. The T-1000 Desiccant Rod actively absorbs excess moisture inside the container, maintaining relative humidity within a safe range (below 100%), fundamentally preventing condensation.
Product Features
-
Super moisture absorption: Moisture absorption capacity exceeds 100% of its own weight (25°C, RH=80%), with high adsorption capacity for water vapor and other condensable vapors.
-
Water retention without backflow: After absorbing water, it forms a gel, encapsulating moisture within the polymer network. It does not release water even when ambient humidity is lower than its own moisture content.
-
Antibacterial and antifungal: Contains unique antibacterial factors that inhibit the growth of bacteria and mold on the desiccant rod itself and in the surrounding environment.
-
Safe and environmentally friendly: Uses natural plant fibers as the moisture absorption carrier, 100% biodegradable. Contains no acidic substances, heavy metal content is below EU and US regulatory limits, non-corrosive to metals, and disposal after use does not pollute the environment.
-
Stable performance: pH value is neutral (approx. 6.9), non-corrosive to any metal, suitable for moisture protection of various high-end and low-end products.

Product Specifications & Recommended Dosage
| Model | Weight | Recommended quantity for 20ft container | Recommended quantity for 40ft container |
|---|---|---|---|
| T-500 | 500 g | 8-10 rods | 10-12 rods |
| G-1000 | 1000 g | — | 8-10 rods |
| T-1000 | 1000 g | 8-10 rods | 10-12 rods |

Note: The above are recommended dosages. Actual dosage is affected by factors such as transit duration, temperature and humidity variations along the route, container stacking position, port storage time, etc. Longer transit durations and greater temperature/humidity fluctuations require an appropriate increase in the number of desiccant rods.
