iHeir-666 Water-Based Water Repellent Agent
Product Overview
iHeir-666 is an environmentally friendly fluoropolymer emulsion specifically designed to provide excellent water, oil, and stain repellency (three-proof finishing) for fabrics such as polyester, nylon, and polyester/cotton blends. This product is a non-flammable water-based emulsion, free of APEO, with extremely low PFOS content (PFOA < 1ppm), meeting modern environmental requirements. Treated fabrics maintain their natural hand feel, appearance, and breathability while gaining durable and reliable protection.
Product Features
-
Environmentally friendly & safe: Free of APEO, extremely low PFOS and PFOA content (PFOA < 1ppm), environmentally friendly.
-
Economical & efficient: Low usage on synthetic fabrics, high cost-performance ratio.
-
Wide process adaptability: Insensitive to bath pH, good stability, can be used with various textile auxiliaries.
-
Flexible application methods: Suitable for spraying, foaming, knife coating, padding, exhaustion, and other processes.
-
Maintains fabric characteristics: Does not alter the hand feel, appearance, or breathability of the fabric after treatment.
Physical Properties
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Chemical composition | Fluoropolymer emulsion |
| Appearance | Light tan emulsion (clear, translucent) |
| Ionicity | Weakly cationic |
| pH value | 3–4 (wide range pH paper) |
| Solid content | 19%–21% (drying at 130°C × 3h) |
| Solubility | Readily soluble in cold water |
Application Methods
1. Fabric Preparation
-
Residual wetting agents, dyeing auxiliaries, sizes, softeners, etc., must be removed from the pre-treated fabric.
-
Fabric lint shedding rate ≤ 1.5%, alkali content ≤ 0.05%, fabric should be weakly acidic.
2. Bath Preparation
-
Add the required amount of iHeir-666 to the mixing tank, then slowly add tap water. Finally, stir at low speed for 5–10 minutes until uniform, avoiding excessive foam.
-
When using together with crosslinkers, penetrants, etc., pre-test compatibility and dilute each component separately before mixing.
3. Recommended Dosage (g/L)
| Fabric Type | Dosage Range |
|---|---|
| Polyester fabric | 8–20 |
| Nylon fabric | 5–20 |
| Polyester/cotton blend | 20–50 |
| Cotton fabric | 30–50 |
4. Padding Process
-
Padding method: one dip one nip (laboratory recommendation: three dips one nip)
-
Pre-drying: 110–130°C
-
Curing: 170°C (fabric surface temperature), 60 seconds (tenter frame)
5. Precautions
-
Perform compatibility tests before using with other auxiliaries.
-
Stir slowly during preparation to avoid excessive foam.
-
Fluorine-based water repellents may cause a darkening effect; pre-check color change.
-
Curing must be thorough, otherwise repellency performance will be affected.
-
Use the treatment bath within 12 hours.
-
Avoid using roller drying to prevent resin residue adhesion.
Performance Data Examples
Polyester (320T Spring Filling)
| iHeir-666 dosage (g/L) | Water repellency (pH≈6) | Water repellency (pH≈4) |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 70 | 80 |
| 5 | 85 | 95 |
| 8 | 100 | 100 |
| 10 | 100 | 100 |
| 20 | 100 | 100 |
Nylon (228T Taslon)
Water repellency reaches 100 points at a dosage of 5 g/L (pH≈6 or 4).
Polyester/Cotton Blend
At a dosage of 30 g/L, water repellency is 100 points, oil repellency is grade 6.5.
