Furniture Anti-Mold Solutions
Furniture is one of the highest-risk categories in export freight: wood moisture, moisture-absorbing upholstery and condensation inside containers can all cause mold, odor and structural damage. iHeir tailors the solution by material so every part of a sofa or cabinet is protected.

Furniture Anti-Mold Solutions
Solutions by Material
- Solid wood & panel frames: soak with iHeir-M8 Bamboo & Wood Fungicide at 1:20 or spray with iHeir-MA before assembly; protection lasts 1+ years.
- Fabric & foam: finish with iHeir-BJ or iHeir-333 Textile Antimicrobial Agent to control mold and odor bacteria.
- Leather upholstery: surface-treat with iHeir-PF, keeping both protection and hand feel.
- Packaging & shipping: add anti-mold chips to each carton and T-1000 desiccant sticks inside the container.
Three Steps for Sea-Freight Furniture
- Before loading: keep wood moisture below 18% and finish anti-mold treatment on frames and fabrics.
- During packing: use anti-mold packaging paper/bags and chips; avoid fully airtight wrapping that traps condensation.
- Inside the container: install 8–10 desiccant sticks for a 20-ft container and keep moderate ventilation.
FAQ
How do I treat a sofa that has already molded? Vacuum surface mold, wipe with iHeir-Clean mold spot cleaner, dry completely and re-spray with an anti-mold agent; replace heavily damaged fillings.
Does anti-mold treatment affect furniture compliance tests? Our formulations are water-based and EPA/REACH compliant; safety documentation is available for your evaluation.
